MATERIÆ FOR LELLO RONCA
MATERIÆ is an art catalogue developed in close dialogue with the practice of a Salerno-based artist. The project covers the entire editorial process, including the curation and post-production of the photographic material, the reading and interpretation of the artist’s work, and the definition of the conceptual structure of the catalogue.
The publication is organized around the main materials used by the artist, which become both the narrative framework and the origin of the catalogue’s title. This material-driven structure reflects a philosophical approach in which matter is seen as an active element of the artistic process, shaping gestures, forms, and meaning.
In line with the spirit of the artist’s work, MATERIÆ was produced entirely by hand and printed in a limited number of copies. Conceived as a crafted object rather than a conventional publication, the catalogue adds a tactile dimension to the editorial project and reinforces the value of the book as a natural extension of the artwork itself.
