ARCHITECTURE TAKES THE STAGE - VIDEO

Architecture Takes the Stage is the official trailer created to present ARCTEC | Architecture · Territory · Economy, an international event organized by NIB – New Italian Blood. Conceived as a short cinematic narrative, the video translates architectural discourse into a visual language, using film as a tool to communicate ideas, spaces, and processes beyond traditional formats.

The ARCTEC event series took place between May 15 and June 30, 2013, across several locations in southern Italy, including Salerno, Cava de’ Tirreni, Pontecagnano, and Ravello. The program brought together international contributors through lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and film screenings, fostering dialogue around architecture, territory, and economic transformation.

The project included the direction and video production of the trailer, covering concept development, filming, and editing. Conceived not merely as a promotional video but as an autonomous narrative piece, the trailer explores the performative dimension of architecture and its ability to “enter the scene” through moving images. The work reflects an approach to filmmaking as a complementary practice to architecture, using cinema as a tool for spatial storytelling and cultural communication.
